Seattle, WA – April 15, 2015: AMI, the leading provider of enterprise Hardware Asset Management software and services, today released the next generation of their enterprise asset tracking solution, AssetTrack® 4. With this new major release, AMI added powerful new barcode and RFID data collection applications and third-party platform integrations. Collecting and maintaining complete, current and accurate hardware asset data has never been easier.
“We are excited to release this new version of AssetTrack®,” said Tom Watson, founder and CEO of AMI. “Now, AssetTrack® is available using any device, anytime, anywhere, empowering enterprises to enroll everyone into the asset tracking process. We are proud to release certified integrations for industry-leading ITAM and ITSM platforms from ServiceNow, CA, and HP. These new features, combined with our certified integrations, make AssetTrack® 4 the best, most compatible barcode and RFID hardware asset tracking solution on the market today.”
Highlights of the new release include:
New Data Collection App with Expanded Mobile Device Support in AssetTrack® 4
AssetTrack® 4 includes apps for Android, iOS, Windows Phone, and Blackberry devices. The AssetTrack® 4 mobile app supports barcode scanning using the device’s built-in camera or paired bluetooth and USB scanners. This new solution increases hardware choice and decreases hardware costs to a fraction of what was required in previous versions of AssetTrack®. The app is available for free from the various app stores, or can be distributed internally using common mobile device management (MDM) solutions.
Certified for ServiceNow Eureka and Fuji
AssetTrack® 4 introduces a new certified ServiceNow integration, including support for their most-recent “Fuji” release. With this new AssetTrack® integration, AMI can offer its powerful, enterprise-scale hardware asset data capture and reconciliation capabilities to ServiceNow customers.
Updated Integrations for CA and HP ITAM/ITSM Platforms
In addition to the new ServiceNow integration, AssetTrack® 4 includes refinements and bug fixes that strengthen already-existing CA and HP ITAM / ITSM platform integrations, including support for CA IT Asset Manager (previously Asset Portfolio Manager), CA Service Desk, and HP Asset Manager.
